Frequently Asked Questions

CAN BEGINNERS JOIN?

Absolutely. We have a range of Paddleboard Adventures that are pitched to match your levels of skill and sense of adventures.

WHAT IF I’M NOT A STRONG SWIMMER?

No problem! You will be attached to your board, which acts as a giant buoyancy aid. You will also be given a personal floatation device / buoyancy aid. Our coaches hold a water safety rescue award.

IS PADDLEBOARDING SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN? DO YOU HAVE AN AGE LIMIT?

Yes. We have dedicated adventures for the little ones. Due to the size of the board’s we ask that any child under the age of 8 join their legal guardian on their board. All children MUST be able to swim unaided.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

You can expect board, paddle, buoyancy aid (helmet, quick release belt if needed) hire and a guided adventure from our certified coach. Other than that, we encourage you to release all other expectations or anticipations and simply show up to enjoy yourself and this beautiful experience!

WHERE IS IT LOCATED?

That depends on the adventure booked! Please check the event details on the website and on your booking confirmation email.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

You will receive a booking confirmation email detailing exactly what you need to bring, based on the adventure you have booked on to. Essentials are listed below.

  • Your own wetsuit if you own one. We have limited availability on wetsuit hire.
  • A change of clothes in case you fall in.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We suggest wearing a comfortable bathing suit that you will feel supported in while moving around, with your choice of sports clothing over the top or a wetsuit. Please note that we have a limited supply of wetsuits to hire. If you wish to wear a hat or sunglasses to protect you from the elements, please make sure they will stay snug and secure.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

We paddle in all weather, rain, and shine, that’s the beauty of being in the great outdoors! In high winds or high-water levels on the river your session may be postponed or the location moved to a nearby safe alternative. In this instance you will be contacted via email no less than 24 hours prior to your adventure and advised of a selection of alternative dates. Be sure to check your email the night before your session. If an alternative date cannot be found a 12-month gift voucher will be given.
