James Whitehurst
SUP Instructor & Inland Open Water Leader

James, discovered his passion for Paddleboarding whilst kayaking along the River Wye in 2016 and seeing a SUP rental company on the river bank.  He decided to have a “quick go” and instantly caught the SUP bug!  So much so that he rarely touches his kayak!  Cut to the present day and James has now been working for PBA for 4 years as a trip guide and coach.

James has served as a Swift Water Rescue Technician in local Mountain and Lowland Search and Rescue Teams and is passionate about the outdoors. 

James has paddled in a variety of environments, ranging from gentle saunters on the local river, to wild camping and paddling on the Norwegian Fjords!

James is know for his random history facts and dad jokes!
