If we’re only allowed one bucket list SUP holiday, it has to be this! A tourist free escape to a stunning island off mainland Croatia. Days filled with sea paddles in turquoise water, interspersed with snorkelling and beach picnics with incredible vistas around us. Yup, that’ll do it! This holiday is based on the tiny island of Molat, set in the Zadar Archipelago.
ABOUT THE PADDLING: We’ve teamed up with local guides to deliver a week of breathtaking paddles, gentle hikes, sublime snorkelling and cruisey cycling. If your sea paddling skills need to be honed you can dive into the tips and informal paddle lessons delivered by your guides each day. The paddle tours are long enough to leave you wanting more, but not so tough that you’ll be worrying about the next day. Each day we’ll explore a different island within the Zadar archipelago, with time to explore sea caves, swim and explore some of the islands on foot.
ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION: Our home for the week are a series of family run apartments which offer home cooked Croatian suppers, picnics and buffet breakfasts. The accommodation is simple but comfortable with ceiling fans in the bedrooms and air con in the shared spaces.
ABOUT THE REGION: Molat, an island that got its name after the Latin word for honey is considered the jewel of the Zadar archipelago. Along with Brgulje, and Zapuntel it is best loved for its authentic Croatian charm, tranquility and carefree character.
THE TRIP:
This is untapped Croatia. No hoards of tourists. Just Croatian beauty and hospitality. Secret paddle spots that you wont’ share with the masses. Your local guides and PBA team will bring the fun and community whilst keeping you safe on the water.
Grow your confidence in with coastal paddling and learn the basic tools for reading the weather and water in a coastal paddle situation. You will be expertly guided on technique, manoeuvres and reading the water allowing you to sea paddle with ease. Get ready to take those skills home with you for the summer season ahead.
Unplug and unwind on the pristine beaches, swim in the turquoise water, sample the stunning local cuisine or simply curl up with a good book. There’s even optional Yoga stretch classes with our very own Yoga teacher.
