If you feel you’ve mastered the basics, perhaps you’ve even brought your own board. BUT you’re still lacking some technique and confidence on moving water rivers.  Then this course is for you!
Your Instructor / Guide will share with you the paddle strokes, foot work; board maneuverers and water understanding to tackle grade 1 rapids confidently and safely. If you’re paddling on rivers regularly you are likely already paddling Grade 1 rapids, but perhaps you go around the features or kneel. This beautiful one way trip on the River Wye will give you the opportunity to learn, session features, practise and play.
In a small group environment you will learn how to paddle and play in class 1 rapids developing your technical turns and manoeuvrability for paddling against the flow and in choppy water.
This tour is for the progressive paddler. Helmets must be worn and can be provided.
Suitability: You should feel comfortable self rescuing. Be able to manoeuvre the board easily in the direction you wish to go. Be able to move from kneeling to standing confidently.
