Come with us on our SUP safari, a paddle journey of a lifetime. Our destination is Asturias, known as Spain’s Natural Paradise; here you can explore paddling in turquoise coastal lagoons, coves and caves, enjoy the thrill of white water river paddling and SUP surfing, find the beauty of stunning sunrise and sunset paddles, and cruise around snow capped mountain flanked lakes. The word Safari comes from the Swahili word for Journey. And that is exactly what this adventure holiday will take you on. (Payment Plan available)
ABOUT THE REGION: according to Conde Naste Traveller magazine, Asturias is Spain’s unsung holiday spot! This corner of northern Spain has its own language, culture, and cuisine. Big on culture, BUT even bigger on nature, with 24 nature reserves and a rich biodiversity.
THE TRIP:
This is a smorgasbord of paddling adventure. We’ve squished 5 different paddle experiences into a week long holiday that will fill your paddle cup, increase your skill and confidence on the water, whilst whisking you off to a currently untaped paddle destination. Your local guides and PBA team will bring the fun and community whilst keeping you safe on the water.
Grow your confidence in a range of paddle disciplines. Slow moving water, up to grade II rapids, flat ocean water and SUP Surf. You will be expertly guided on technique, manoeuvres and reading the water allowing you to paddle technical water with ease. Get ready to take those skills home with you for the summer season ahead.
Challenge your sense of adventure with optional extra activities such as Via Feratta (not for the faint hearted!) and canyoning. Explore the mountains via one of Europes longest cable car routes. Hike or bike you way through the stunning mountains and nature reserves which make the Asturias one of Europe’s best kept, secret nature destinations.
Unplug and unwind on the pristine beaches, swim in the turquoise water, sample the stunning local cuisine as you wander the quaint Spanish streets of nearby towns or simply curl up with a good book. There’s even optional morning Yoga stretch classes with our very own Yoga teacher.
