Shhhh don’t tell everyone, but THIS is our favourite stretch of the River Wye to paddle. Relatively untouched by tourism it offers a truly tranquil paddle in THE most stunning scenery. This tour offers a perfect mix of gentle riffles and playful water, along with long stretches of flat-water with stunning mirror reflections.
There’s time to swim on a hot day, or perhaps you fancy playing with your foot-work and paddle skills. we pit-stop in a sleep Wye Valley village featured in TV hit series, Sex Education for an ice cream / picnic stop before setting off again in search of Kingfisher and cormorants, leaping Salmon and otters

Suitability: You should feel comfortable self rescuing. Be able to manoeuvre the board easily in the direction you wish to go. Be able to move from kneeling to standing confidently. Helmets must be worn for this paddle.
This paddle includes a taxi shuttle amongst the group, using our own vehicles. You will be added to a WhatsApp group a few days prior to coordinate the shuttle.

You will
- Enjoy a guided tour of one of the most unspoilt stretches of the River Wye.
- Learn how to paddle and play in class 1 rapids.
- Develop your technical turns and manoeuvrability for paddling against the flow and in choppy water.
- Learn how to self rescue in moving water.
- Receive a safety briefing along with your board, paddle, buoyancy aid and helmet.

- Paddlers must have a good level of water related fitness.
- Paddlers MUST be able to swim unaided.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
- Where adverse wether conditions are the deciding factor for the cancellation of your trip by PBA you will be given 24 hours notice. Please check your emails regularly (including spam).
- If your booking is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions you will be given a selection of dates to rebook within the current season. Or a 12-month credit note will be issued.
If the booking is cancelled by your party:
- 72 hours+ Your booking will be fully transferable within the current season or a 12 month credit note will be issued.
- Less than 48 hours notice your booking will not be transferred. IF we are able to fill your place from a wait list you will be issues a 12 month credit note.
PADDLER SUITABILITY
- Be able to confidently move your board in the intended direction.
- Be able to easily move from kneeling to standing.
- Be able to get yourself back on your board. ‘Self Rescue’.
OWN KIT REQUIREMENTS
- Recognised branded touring board, must be 11ft. Paddle, recognised branded buoyancy aid, HELMET, leash, dry bag, RIVER FIN.
- PLEASE NOTE, if your kit does not meet our criteria on the day you will be required to hire our own, or forfeit the trip with no option for a refund. Therefor we suggest you email us to check your kit is suitable.
MINIMUM 4 paddlers to run the trip.
